Early September Progress

We continue to chip away at the vegetation and previously felled trees.

About halfway across the front is a particularly nasty pile of trees that I confess I’ve been avoiding.

The log tunnel to nearly impenetrable jungle

Barb has been slowly chipping away at it and uncovered a young olive tree.

Meanwhile, I’m carving out a location for a small pallet tool shed. I’d like to be able to store/secure some of the larger tools instead of having to shlep them every single time and haul them up the 10′ berm steps.

Lots of poisonous parrot weed to reduce before I can put a floor down.

This is super temporary and cobbled together. I’m going for practical rustic charm.

Seeing these guys is uplift to the spirits.

I’m amassing a prodigious pile of firewood!

And at the end of the day, we can come home to the rental and see sunsets like this.
