A LONGER than usual post….lots of pictures and video.
So after months of delay, the house kit arrived on 2 twenty foot shipping containers. The driver deemed the road too narrow and difficult to get said containers close to the house, so he parked it about a 1/2 mile down the road. This required the assembly team to drive their van and the telehandler to the container and offload it there. Inconvenient but not insurmountable.

The first day of the 4-day assembly was just unloading everything and finding a place to put it. And to also stack things in the correct order. It was a big day and it wasn’t long before the team found their rhythm.
The second day started with the attaching of the siding and knee braces.

And the lanai panels were attached.

Also, the roof trusses were staged for the next day’s lift into place.

The final day…
The awesome and spectacular crew that made this all happen.

And the final sunset light bathing the lanai in it’s golden glow.

I am one very happy puppy!
